On June 25th, Irish e-commerce and mobile payment solutions company HIPSPayment Group Ltd announced a partnership with Swedish unattended payment facility company Vourity to launch cryptocurrency payment functions at 50,000 charging stations in Europe.

The project will be launched in November this year and will be completed within 3 years. The two parties have not yet revealed which cryptocurrencies will be supported, but Vourity has released an image of a payment terminal with the ETH logo, strongly suggesting that ETH is expected to be the first batch of support objects. VourityCEOHansNottehed said: We are evaluating which cryptocurrencies are supported. They will be converted into legal tender.

The payment system will be connected to the blockchain through the native protocol token MerchantToken of the Hips merchant protocol. The agreement was launched in May of this year, built on Ethereum and Solana, and plans to expand to Cardano in the future.
