Online leasing giant Airbnb may increase cryptocurrency payments. CEO Brian Chesky recently revealed on Twitter that booking accommodation with the help of cryptocurrency is the number one request this year.

On January 3, Chesky asked his Twitter fans for suggestions related to Airbnb. After browsing through thousands of tweets, he concluded that cryptocurrencies are clearly in the lead. This is followed by clear pricing displays, guest loyalty programs, updated cleaning fees and improved customer service.

Chesky said that he has seen various token ideas, which may mean that Airbnb’s future cryptocurrency payment lineup will not be limited to just one or two tokens. He also added that since 2013, Airbnb has processed payments worth $336 billion.
