A survey conducted by the investment platform Robo.cash found that 65.8% of European investors hold crypto assets in their portfolios.

The popularity of crypto assets ranks third, surpassing gold, and second only to P2P investments and stocks. In 2021, investors will increase their holdings of cryptocurrencies by 42%, which is higher than the 31% in the previous year. Most investors limit crypto investment to less than a quarter of the total investment portfolio.

Although gold enjoys a long history of investment, it seems to be losing the favor of investors. 15.1% of people think that cryptocurrency is the most attractive asset, and only 3.2% of people hold this view of gold. The corresponding figures for stocks and P2P investments are 38.4% and 20.6% respectively.
