According to the anti-money laundering software AML Bot announcement, AML Bot has cut off the third-party service channel of the illegal encryption activity tracking tool Antinalysis, and reported the Antinalysis service acquisition address to law enforcement agencies.

Antinalysis is an auxiliary tool that allows criminals on the dark web to generate risk reports for their bitcoin wallets. The application may be created by a dark web market administrator to help users trade in the dark web market. After being cut off by AML Bot, the tool has now entered a closed state.

AML Bot said in a statement on Monday that the company provided Antinalysis with access to its services without knowing it. “We have conducted an internal investigation and [closed] Antinalysis’s account. We are studying smart measures. To prevent such registrations in the future.”

AML Bot itself is a service provider of Crystal Blockchain, another blockchain analysis tool. The company also confirmed that it has reported all addresses related to the use of Antinalysis to law enforcement agencies.

This may provide clues to help regulators identify the creator of Antinalysis. At the same time, the anonymous technical administrator of Antinalysis (alias pharoah) described the AML Bot attack as an “illegal authorization seizure” of their data source, and they blamed this on media exposure. In a statement to the BBC, it said: “We don’t like state agencies conducting large-scale surveillance in the name of national security and criminal investigations.”
